Julie Anderson attends "We The Teachers"

Julie Anderson selected as one of two teachers from state to attend Annual Fellowship at College of William and Mary to participate in "We The Teachers".

This summer, the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia hosted the inaugural "We The Teachers" fellowship in celebration of the nation's 250th Anniversary.

One hundred teachers representing all 50 states were selected to attend the workshop, among those in attendance was Julie Anderson, 5th Grade teacher from Millcreek Elementary. 

Delegates were selected through a competitive national application process and represent a diverse cross-section of grade levels, disciplines and communities from coast to coast.

While there, Anderson and the other teacher fellows convened in the first Congress of Educators, a four-day residential institute hosted across the historic triangle of Williamsburg, Jamestown, and Yorktown.

Immersed in primary source analysis, historical inquiry, civil dialogue, and argument-based argumentation, delegates connected America's founding principles to classroom-ready practice at the very sites where history unfolded.
