About the School
Millcreek is a "Leader in Me" school, made up of a diverse community of learners. We are committed to developing the leadership abilities inherent in all children. Our primary program (K-2) emphasizes learning to read and our intermediate program (3-5) emphasizes reading to learn. Millcreek uses investigative and rigorous math and science curriculums that require higher-level thinking and writing skills.
We are also committed to developing the expertise of the professional and para-professional staff members to result in a positive impact on student growth and achievement. Our strategic priorities are as follows:

Awards and Achievements
Millcreek's certified staff are continuous learners and participate in a myriad of professional development activities and seminars during the summer and school year. Additionally, many staff members are active in professional and community organizations.
Millcreek students have demonstrated their talents in various events, such as Fayette County Science Fair and the PTA Reflections Contest.. Former Millcreek students are listed in Who's Who Among America's High School Students, have become National Merit Scholars, and have been recipients of numerous awards and college scholarships.
The Millcreek PTA has a history of outstanding support and involvement in the school, having twice been named the outstanding PTA for the state of Kentucky. Funds raised by the PTA have been used for the purchase of educational materials, technology equipment and software, playground expansion equipment, and programs or activities for students.
